‘Helleborus’ – Acrylic on canvas 30 x 40 cm
It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, as always other aspects of life get in the way. Because of this I’m increasingly finding that the only way for me to get art finished is to do it for a reason. In this case, my girlfriend’s sister’s birthday. I’d forgotten how much I enjoy painting flowers, perhaps it’s the simplicity of a single object on a canvas with nothing to detract from the main focus of the work. It’s hard to describe why I’m drawn to painting them, they just suit the way I like to paint, flowing lines and loose brush strokes.
So this one is for Emma, may it brighten up even the wettest April day!
